Our JD 7930 is still throwing a ECU 1347.07 code after the dealer has put in new fuel pressure sensor, new fuel pump, flushed the fuel system. They are now thinking it might be an injector. It only does it if the tractor lugs down a little, like going up a hill while driving on the road or also in the field when it pulls a little harder. Does anyone have any idea? We are getting tired of throwing money at new parts and nothing changes.

Our 7930 used to do the same thing, ended up being injectors, went through countless filters, a set of all new sensors, and 2 fuel pumps. After injectors hasn't thrown the code for 2 years. Dyno'd 20 hp more than it should have, that's what made them suspect injectors.

Check the fuel lines from the tank to the injection pump, one that is pinched can cause this, another thing to check is the fuel inlet screen inside the tank, it can get sucked up against the bottom of the tube and also cause a restriction.

I had a tractor throw that code and it would derate and smoke. It was a bad suction control valve on the injection pump and I sourced it from a diesel shop for considerably less money than from JD parts.

Start off with changing fuel filters unless you have already. If the dealer has not changed the suction control valve and the fuel rail pressure limiter yet then I would do those before looking further into an injector issue. I have seen this code numerous times on the 6.8L Tier 3 engines and those 2 things replaced at the same time will almost always take care of problem. When suction control valve starts to fail, then the pressure relief has to open. Every time the relief opens, the spring inside gets weaker and weaker. If one only replaces a suction control valve then the pressure relief will usually pop off under normal fuel rail pressures causing the 1347.07 code to stay active. This is why I always replace them as a set. Just replaced these parts on our own 7930 tractor on our own farm and it was doing the same thing yours is by the sounds of it. On ours, when pulling a 9 shank chisel, I would make my turn on the ends, get lined up with my AB line, resume my steering, give it full throttle while lowering chisel, then up shift twice. During the upshift, it would almost fall on its face bogging down to 14-1500 RPMs and it would chug smoke, then it would snap out of it and have full power the rest of the pass until the next turnaround. Even moving it from a dead stop in B range with chisel raised in transport would fall on its face occasionally. Replaced the suction control valve and rail pressure limiter over the weekend and strip tilled 44 acres with no problems whatsoever. Again, if you havent tried fuel filters yet, I would do that first.

+1 you check the pressure limiter by removing the return fuel line from it and seeing if you have flow. If you have flow replace them both scv and the limiter valve.

We too have seen suction control valve causing this code.

I checked with the dealer and he said that they have changed both items you mentioned.

Where are the suction control valve and pressure relief limiter located? My 9660 combine is throwing this code.
